Il Paradiso

Se arriverò di mattino,

la luce rosea dell'aurora

coprirà l'anima mia

con un velo celeste

apparirà limpida e

trasparente come il cielo

aldilà delle nuvole.

Se è il sole di mezzogiorno

ad accogliermi con i suoi

raggi luminosi e roventi,

scalderà il mio coraggio

per entrare nell'oasi

promessa agli uomini

di buona volontà.

Dovessi tardare

a causa dell'espiazione

ed arrivare al tramonto,

quella luce profonda

crepuscolare

avvolgerà il mio essere

scivolandomi addosso,

vestendomi d'estasi e

inebriandomi di leggerezza.

Un’iniezione di pace

tanto bramata e conquistata,

un premio meritato.

Dio mio...

non farmi partire di notte

quando il buio profondo

nasconderà la luna

che tanto illuminava

quest'occhi languidi 

e spenti.

Vedrò brillare la stella,

ne sono certa...

essa mi indicherà la strada!

E...se per caso tu non 

ci fossi a causa di 

un disguido,

sappi che dislocare 

non potrò.

Busserò così forte

da svegliare i morti!

O paradiso!
Mio dolce paradiso...

Paradise

If I get there

in the morning,

the rosy light of dawn

will enwrap my soul

with a celeste veil

appearing clear and pure

as the blue sky

beyond the clouds.

If it is the midday sun

to welcome me

with its bright

burning rays,

then all my courage

will be inflamed

to enter the oasis

promised to men

of goodwill.

If I should delay

due to atonement

and arrive at sunset,

the deep glaze

of the twilight

will envelop my being

and shower me

with its colorful

enebriating rays.

An injection of peace,

so coveted and awaited,

conquered prize...

Lord please...

do not make me

set off in the night

when dark depths

will hide the moon

that so lit these

dull, lifeless eyes.

I'll see the shining star, 

I am certain...

it will show me the way!

And...if by chance

you were not there

due to some misunderstanding,

know that I will not dislocate.

I will knock so loud

to wake up the dead!

O' heaven!
