sono sempre state due

quando camminavo 

da sola e quando c'eri tu

ora faccio fatica a 

distinguere di chi sono

mie o tue?

uno di noi non c'è più

se n'è andato

chi è rimasto?

se son solo io ho paura

se sei solo tu ho paura

dove sono io?

dove sei tu?

dove siamo noi?

the footprints in the sand 

have always been two

when I walked alone 

and when I was with you

now it is hard for me 

to tell whose they are

yours or mine?

one of us is missing

one of us has gone

who is still here?

if it is me alone 

I am scared

if it is you alone

I am scared

where am I?

where are you?

where are we?
