La panchina spoglia

molte volte sedevo là

all'ombra della betulla 

volevo meditare anche se

trovavo sempre compagnia 

uomini e donne di tutte 

le età seduti lì con me 

tutti avevano una storia 

da raccontare sulla vita 

 mi fermavo ad ascoltare

i miei pensieri 

rimanevano fermi

più tardi quando le persone 

erano andate via

non rimaneva più niente 

dei miei pensieri ed io... 

The bare bench

I sat there many a day

in the shade of the birch tree

meditation was my intention 

but always found company

men and women of all ages

sat there with me and 

all had a story to tell 

about life so I stopped 

to listen with my thoughts 

in stand by and later 

when the people had gone 

we were nowhere 

to be found

my thoughts and I...
