L' Acqua

acqua sacra

acqua pura

acqua madre

della natura

sin da sempre

avvolge, protegge

la vita in grembo

donando respiro

e nutrimento

perchè così vitale?

liquido insipido

sfuggente

cosi essenziale

abbiam bisogno

d'acqua di sorgente

forza naturale

fluida e salutare

trasparente e cristallina

lava via l'impurità 

da cellule birichine

ritorna l'innocenza 

nel tempio di Dio!

l'acqua 

si conserva 

con amore

non sprecarla

sarà di gran valore

come al naufrago 

la barca 

per noi sarà l'arca

la terra ringrazia

con lietezza e

se usata con saggezza

l'acqua disseta con

amore materno

tenendoci tutti 

vivi in eterno

pure water

mother of nature

here present 

since time began

envelops, protects

life in the womb

giving it breath

vital nurturing

why so vital?

insipid liquid

slippery yet 

so essential

much needed

spring water

natural, strong

healthy fluid

transparent

crystal clear

washes away

impurity from

errant cells

restores innocence 

to the temple of God!

save water lovingly

don't waste it

it is of great value

like a boat

for castaways

it will be for us

our savior ark

the earth thanks

gladly and rejoices 

if used wisely 

it quenches thirst

with maternal love

keeping us alive

for ever 'n ever
