Il poeta

Si possono imparare a fare mille mestieri 

ma non come diventare poeta. 

Non esiste un modello prestabilito.

La poesia è molto soggettiva, 

intima e profonda, 

poichè nasce dall'anima 

e ogni persona è unica.

Nessuno può stabilire regole, 

metrica o lessico sofisticato per la poesia, 

altrimenti diventa uno spettacolo 

da esibire agli altri. 

Il poeta non dovrebbe cercare applausi, 

premi o onorificenze, invece, 

dovrebbe osservare gli occhi di chi legge 

o ascolta la sua poesia. 

L'emozione non ha prezzo.

You can learn a thousand skills 

but not how to become a poet.

There isn't a fixed model.

Poetry is quite subjective and deeply 

intimate, since it is generated 

in the soul and every person is unique.

Nobody can impose rules, metric or 

sophisticated lexis in poetry, otherwise 

it becomes a spectacle to exibit to others.

The poet should not seek applause, 

prizes or awards, instead, 

they should observe the eyes of those

who read or listen to their poetry.

Emotion is priceless.
