Una lanterna

a volte mi chiedo

chi di noi due

è la realtà

tu vedi me

io vedo te

quale di noi due è la verità?

ti guardo con i miei occhi

mi guardi con i tuoi

ma dentro di noi

chi siamo?

la notte è troppo buia

per rimanere svegli

fortunati coloro

eternamente illuminati

dammi una lanterna

per vederci chiaro

e con nuovi occhi

sarai luce...

sometimes I wonder

which one of us

is the reality

you see me

I see you

which of us is the truth?

I look at you with my eyes

you look at me with yours

but deep within 

who are we?

the night is too dark

to stay awake

fortunate are people

eternally enlightened

give me a lantern

to see you clearly

  and with new eyes 

you will be light...
